Day 16 in the Thankful Posts

From the Mohawk Hudson Marathon
Something I could NEVER have imagined doing in
 my wildest wildest dreams
before my gall bladder
surgery!

I am thankful for the gall bladder surgery that I had many years ago now. It is what started me down this healthy path of caring what I ate, how I looked and being obsessed with exercising.  Eventually I began to run.  I have always said that my gall bladder surgery was one of the best things that ever happened to me.  Many pounds later, many many many miles run and walked later I am a much healthier happier person!

hey, am I first?

I saw a card today that was a picture of a battery, inside, it said life wouldn't happen unless you have a positive and a negative. Kinda fitting huh?

You had the courage and the will to use that surgery to become healthier and happier. That's impressive and inspiring. Good for you! Hope the heel is getting better!!

Good for you! I think a lot of us started out on the road to running with less than stellar health, what better to spur us on?

Sorry, I messed up my other comment. Here's what I meant to say:

You learn a lot about someone by what they are grateful for. I like you and your priorities.

That is so good for me to hear now. Remember I had a gall bladder infection some time ago. It's been fine since then but good no know if it bothers me again it's out. Thanks!

So awesome.

Way to go!

I have always loved how when one door [seemingly] closes another always is opened.

Love it!

I was looking at some photos of my old self last night (blog post to follow). I don't have a pivotal moment like yours, but it's amazing how much we can change!

My dad and sister both had theirs removed, but did not learn or change their habits. We're thankful you did so we get to read about your adventures (...and got to meet you!)
