Last two thankful days

Can I say I am thankful it is the end of the month and I am done with my thankful days?  How lame would that be?  If I wasn't so goal oriented and finish what I start type of person I would have stopped already!  But I have stuck with it so it wouldn't be smart to quit now!

Thankful Day 29

I am thankful for my laptop.  I can sit by the woodstove and be warm or just sit in any comfy chair.  I can take it on vacation and keep up on blogging, email, facebook or not.......whichever I choose.  I can watch movies easily without disturbing my husband.  I can watch movies as I do my stretches.  And on and on.  I do love my laptop. I can't believe I haven't had one before this one!

Thankful Day 30

On one of my favorite biking routes
I am a little bit thankful for my injury.    It certainly helped me rediscover my love of biking! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed biking this fall. I don't plan to let it out of my life again.  There were so many possible routes I didn't get to that I can't wait to discover this spring!  My injury was also a wake up call to not overtrain.  More is not always better.  Listen to my body!  All that stuff you read and know but knowing it in your head doesn't equate knowing it in your heart.  And sometimes.....we follow our hearts!

It's good to be thankful for your injury...that's how I feel about my asthma. A little bit thankful, because there are some things I've discovered only because of it :)

Hope the running continues to go well!

A month of gratitude is a big task. Well done on getting through it.

Agree on the first, like the twist (no pun intended) of the second...

You had a good run of thanks! Not an easy feat!

I agree with you about the laptop, we go everywhere together! I have so many pictures on mine and it's kind of like my own little organized world at times!
I'm so happy you can look back at your injury and count it as a blessing. I'm not there yet, but I am doing better!
Thank you for the email and the comments by Miss Zippy. I forwarded some of it to Jill, she is also in the same predicament.
I'm better this week, so happy!!

I too am thankful for my laptop!

In answer to you question, my medal hanger is about 13inches, and I estimate it will hold anywhere from 8-10 medals depending on how spaced out you want them to be.

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm thankful that my injury has totally healed :-) I hope you will be writing these words in 2011.

BikesRGood - you might be getting pretty attached to the two-wheeler! Although the frigid weather lessens the appeal of the bike somewhat. Be thankful to have the injury ... behind you!!!

A great way to close your say of thanks month: finding the love of biking!

I love my laptop too but I only use it at home, I never bring it along if I go somewhere. Most of the times when we go on vacation we choose to leave the laptop at home and "survive" without the internet. The first days it's getting used to it but after a few days it's quite relaxing.

Mmm technology. Amazing all the things it does and yet we still get impatient with it sometimes.

It's a wonderful thing that you have gotten something so POSITIVE from your injury. You are a fine example of making the most of a bad situation.

Congrats on making it through 30 days of thanks. :)

I'm thankful that you're back running again. Yes! Also glad that you kept up with your blog posts even without running.
P.S. I secretly consider my laptop to be a person, that's how attached I am.

You have had way too much fun with cycling! It's been fun to see your different routes. Glad you're back running!

I am grateful for my laptop, too...but would be more grateful if I had a new one :).

My heel is a wee-bit cranky today. I am NOT grateful for it anymore. At all!

Good job on being so diligent with the month of gratitude (I kind of pooped out on it!) and how nice that you ended by being a little bit thankful for your injury - that feels like a "full circle" kind of moment to me!

I like how you turned your injury into a positive.

oh, and my hubs took the photos of Frank eating the foam roller, cracking up the whole time.

I find sometimes (often) how much easier, or call it more natural it is for me to complain than to be grateful. I am working on changing that but it is harder than training for a marathon. :)
BTW, I love my laptop too. Now I am waiting for all those ipads and other such devices to get a bit better.

Love, love, love my laptop!

Rediscovering something you love is always good, just wish you hadn't had to give up your running! Hope that stinky heel is doing better!

Enjoy your weekend!
