Thankful Post Day 4

Today I am thankful for tv series on DVDs.  I rarely watch tv but I love to watch tv series when the time is right for me.  Right now I am especially thankful for them as I slog through my stretches and exercises for my heel twice a day.  Watching West Wing (and drinking coffee in the a.m.) has almost made these pleasurable.  I am now on the 6th season with one season left to go.  Sometimes I have to give myself a real world check (Did that happen on West Wing or real life?)!

I have asked for recommendations before and received several.  I am wondering if anyone has watched The Good Wife?  I have it in my cart at Amazon but haven't made the purchase yet.  What is your favorite tv series that is out on DVD?

We canceled out cable subscription 18 months ago so I am totally out of touch but you can watch a lot of TV shows on Hulu.com or get them from Netflix.

I haven't watched The Good Wife - I've never even heard of it, I don't think. I don't get out much - haha. I love "House, MD" - my favorite show...and I like "Chopped" on the Food Network. I guess I'm not much help for you!

I enjoy the Good Wife. I'm actually a bit behind this season and looking to catch up.

I watch too much TV... there are too many good shows and not so good shows that I get sucked into. Especially during the winter months when I need something to get me through treadmill workouts!

I watched the first 3 seasons of Lost on DVD and then just kept up with the rest on TV. So great - and watching on DVDs back to back to back is the best! You'll be hooked!

The Good Wife is really good - well worth watching.
I'm enjoying your daily thoughts of thankfulness. They make me pause to think of what I should be grateful for.

We had the first season of the Good Wife here last winter and I really liked it. I loved Juliana Margulies in ER and she is really good in this too. I can relate to a lot of it!

The prize from Fran is a cute pink purse pendant - I'll put a picture up on my blog when it arrives.

On DVD we've recently seen Dexter and House, both of which I love. Now we're watching 30 Rock, which has never been on tv here. It's great!

I'm not a big TV watcher and have only watched movies on DVD. I'll be terrible at recommending anything! Have a good weekend with your daughter!

I do the same but through netflix. Doc Martin is pretty great if you like Brit productions. I never watched an episode of Lost till this past Summer on Netflix. I think maybe the only way to watch it. Arrested Development is a favorite as well.

We watched all three seasons of Arrested Development after my husband found it on super cheap on sale. I LOVE just watching the series on DVD, but it's dangerous when you get hooked. :)

I love the Good wife, I would recommend it.

I don't buy much tv series on DVD, I'm completing Sex and the City, McLeod's Daughters and recently bought Glee.

I watch a lot on TV, at this moment I'm following on TV: Grey's Anatomy, Desperate housewives, Cougar Town, Glee, Modern family, The Mentalist, True Blood and The Tudors. I watch more but they are not on at this time.

I would recommend the Tudors too, it's a great serie about King Henry the VIII of England. Lots of costume and beautiful landscapes in it.

TV on DVD is pretty much the only way to go for me. All my favorite shows are on too late, or I want to keep watching them over and over without commercials!
