Mascoma Lake in Enfield, NH
There is a 70.3 which starts two hours earlier and then there is a sprint. Both the swimming and biking are shorter than the one I've been preparing for. Glad about the swimming although I don't know how much difference 100 yards will make. The weather doesn't look great but oh well. I just can't wait which is certainly a difference from how I was approaching the tri in June. I may have gotten to that point who knows? But I am certainly there now.
Distances:
Swim: 500 yards
Bike: 10.8 miles
Run: 3.1 miles
Goals:
I want to finish wanting to do another triathlon.
I want to have fun.
I want to find out I can swim in a triathlon no matter my skill or lack thereof
I want to learn more about how a tri works including the transitions.
I'd love not to be last but if I am, I am.
I emailed myself some time goals not sure at all how realistic they are. Truly my main goals are the first two!
I'll be back with a race report hoping to be smiling.

Good luck! You'll do great :)
So excited for you A! Good luck and have fun. You are so badass in that wetsuit.
Can't wait to hear about it. I know you will be fine and this will not be your last tri.
YAY!! Good luck!! I can't wait to read all about it! :)
Sounds like a great training tri! My guess is you'll be hooked!
VERY excited for you! Can't wait to hear how it goes. I KNOW you're ready. You've done the preparation, and maybe the injury was a small blessing because instead of freaking out about your tri you're hungry for it. You're going to do great. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!
Yay you're going to do great! And I highly doubt you're going to be last!
Good luck.
Fantastic distances for your first one! Best of luck to you--you will enjoy it, I'm sure!
On your question about swimming in local lakes--good question and one I don't have an answer to! it's a small, park lake, so I'm guessing it goes back to liability. There's just about no where to OWS around here, period.
have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I know you'll be smiling at the end!
Good luck! Smile and have fun. If you get gassed on the swim (like I did on my first several tris), just stop, tread water, look around and take in the sites then smile because you are doing a tri! At the end you are going to feel so alive, it will be a great feeling.
I cannot wait to read your RR!!!! You are going to be awesome and I hope you love it!! You are a total rock star anyway and now you'll be a TRIATHLETE!
Good luck, Andrea! I hope it goes really well!
