5 Thinks I'm Loving Right Now
I got this idea first from Darlene although I have seen others too. I liked the post so here is my list of things I'm loving right now.
1. Power Putty
As I mentioned in my last post I have lost strength in my hand. My son suggested Power Putty so I quickly went and bought some. Here is one of the things it says on the web site about it.
Power Putty is made in five levels of resistance that are color coded for individual strengthening needs. It is used by medical professionals for hand rehabilitation after surgeries, fractures, sprains, stroke recovery, and arthritis. It is also sold in sports, fitness, and massage supply stores to increase hand strength and improve performance.
2. my splint
This is my comfort right now. I have permission to wear it as little or as much as I want. I am wearing it less but I am so not ready to be without it. I have been told more than once I don't need it for sleeping but the thought of doing something to my wrist in my sleep or having my husband bump it seems too real for now. I didn't wear it one night but I kept waking up and finally just put it on. But at home I am beginning to go without it for longer stretches of time.
3. my "older" bike
I am loving this bike right now that doesn't have clips and is letting me get some bike riding in without worrying about the clips just yet.
4. my pro stretch
This allows me to get a much better stretch on my always tight calves than I can do without it. I have been known to throw this into my school bag and take it to work when deemed necessary. (Although more often than not it goes back home without having been used.)
5. my running skirts
I love my comfy running skirts. Love them!
Styling, right!
And yes, it was cool enough
for long sleeves!
6. my books
I love all my books. You can never have too many books.
I like to have lots to choose from when it is time to
start a new book which in the summer happens a
lot. Below are many of my already read books.
7. my new running shoes
I am hoping these shoes become my new best friend. They are quite different from what I am used to but they certainly work for my daughter.

good stuff! Look at you with all those pretty skirts! What kind of shoes are those?
I keep reading lots of good things about those shoes...they just look so....nutty.
I am right back into reading this summer and love it.
I felt the same about my boot. it took me a long time to feel safe to sleep without it. Let me know what you think aobut the shoes.
All really good things to love right now. We need things that make us feel comfortable. To answer your questions on my post: Yes, this is a new race and was run for the 2nd time this year. Yes, we have so many great races I have to pick carefully and according to budget and leave available what to run when. We are lucky indeed! The problem is they are all limited to very few runners (100 in this case) so I am on many waiting lists. Luckily my blog helps me to get invites sometimes! :)
When is the big swim in the lake????
Power to the power putty!! I have yet to find a running skirt I like. What brand are yours - they look nice and long, most are too short!!
Wow! I'm going to have to look into that Power Putty...I had an accident a few years back and had to have a few surgeries in my left hand. I still don't have feeling in part of my hand and my left hand is sooo weak. This might be a great way for me to start building strength up again!
I'm also going to have to try that Pro Stretch! My calves are always so tight!
I've never heard of power putty either, nor the stretch thing. I could do with one of those to keep my heels sweet! Great skirts, I think you have so much more choice in the US.
Power putty sounds really great. I can't blame you for not being ready to ditch the splint! Glad you have a bike where you are comfortable right now so you don't have to miss out completely.
I like the color of the shoes. It looks clean and simple. :)
You look really good in the running skirts. I really want to try them, but I am scared of chafing. My thighs rub.
I had to zoom in to 200% to see what shoes those were...my suspicions were correct :). I've heard people either LOVE them or hate them...I hope you're in the first category.
Glad the hand is coming along well; don't blame you for being gun-shy at night. I'm always tossing and turning and would be fearful of accidentally doing something.
I admire your book collection...probably why you're so dang good at WWF!!! ;)
You're so right. You can never have enough books. Even when your bookshelves are full to over-flowing. There's always room under the bed.
I love my books too but it so happened that I cleaned my book shelves this weekend because my interest in books has changed. I used to read a lot of chick lits but now I don't like them anymore. I have saved the books I will definitely read again in the future. Part of the books are on the internet where I try to sell them. Part of them I kept aside and will read them one more time before I sell them. I think I am going to get rid of at least 50 books.
I agree that you can never have too many books!
