Yes, today I fell in love. But no worries for my husband. I fell in love with a place - Popham Beach - I had never been to this beach before before but man I do want to go back. All you Mainers are probably familiar with this beach but it was a real find for me. It is a beautiful beach, that was not crowded and very peaceful. You could see for miles, sun, blue ocean, sand, waves and evergreens! I loved it.
I didn't go in the water. Maine ocean is always cold and the fact that I was farther north than usual didn't entice me to try it. But I loved sitting in my beach chair, smelling the ocean, listening to the waves and reading my book which happened to be a literal beach read (The Beach House by Mary Alice Monroe). Perfection! I could have sat there forever. The pictures don't do it justice. It was wonderful, believe me.

That sounds like a perfect day! Beautiful pictures. :)
Popham is a beautiful place. I haven't been in a while...you'd think I would go often, I live pretty close by!
Sounds like a perfect relaxing vacation!
I need to get to Maine!
So peaceful and scenic.
I can see how it has the ability to soothe and calm someone.
It looks very peaceful there!
Enjoy your Maine vacation! I had so much fun when I visited to run the Maine marathon there in '11.
I would love to spend time there running and reading or just sitting on the sand doing absolutely nothing.
What a beautiful beach! I love beaches which are not crowded. Nice pictures!
Have a nice weekend ... on the beach :)
Popham is beautiful beautiful! I wish I was there right now...!
I want to be taking those pictures...it means I would be relaxing there too! Beautiful!
Beautiful. I love the beach and the sea.
I'm such a wimp when it comes to cold water, but I went in when we were in Wells last weekend and it was nice!!
What a great way to chill out and unwind. It sounds so nice - probably because it's Winter here and I'm working.
It sure is a beautiful beach. I can see why you want to go back.
I'm honored that you used a quote of me in your header. Thank you.
