a tunnel I had to walk through
Soon enough we came to the Garden of the Gods! Mary nicely took me on the "smaller" hills, not the worst from the race course.
approaching Garden of the Gods
looking toward the scar
Garden of the Gods - can't get enough of those kissing camels
another shot I keep taking
Mary waiting for me which she did all day

And that is it! What kind of blogger am I that I didn't get a shot of the fall or it's aftermath? The best I can do is a shot I took with my phone while icing at the gas station. The ending question is when will the next ride be?

At least your "last ride" (for now) was a beauty!
Do you use Instagram on your phone? If so, I need to "friend" you.
I didn't want to see the last pic! Get well soon and ride your bike!
Great photos as usual.
I wrote the previous comment before having read the monday post.
I mean that I didn't want to see the last pic because I am sorry for your fall.
I am SO sorry about your wrist - what a shame! Heal quick, take lots of calcium! You'll be pedaling again soon. There's always another tri!
How are you doing? Are you going to be able to run while your wrist heals?
Beautiful pictures, by the way - I couldn't think of a lovelier place for a "last ride" - but hopefully this is only a temporary situation!
I've been thinking about you today.
Your pictures are so beautiful. It stinks when getting hurt keeps us from the things we love, but it's so worth the (hopefully!) occasional injury to be able to have these experiences.
At least the last was beautiful. I know you wish you could take that day back (I know I did). But now you can do some races with me.... Brain Freezer, Race the Train, Adirondack 5k or 10K (day before the half)...assuming you want to run. And soon enough you will be doing that TRI.
:( Still so sad for you but if I show these pics to my husband he'll want to move asap!
Gorgeous pictures! So very bummed for you though.
I know you will overcome this. Yet, still very sorry for it all. Take care of that wrist. At least it all happened in a beautiful place, with a good hospital to take care of ya. Keep kickin'!!
Heal quickly! Now you have to come back again to make that ride right ;-)
BTW, I used to ride that tunnel every time I commuted to work by bike :) An ambulance ride ended my commuting career.... maybe it's not such a good tunnel....
Definitely not the last ride - just the last ride for a few weeks. Josh is also casted up at the moment and he's planning to ride a 100k charity ride in 10 days. We'll have to see what his doctor says about that tomorrow.
:( at least it was so beautiful!
Beautiful pics even with the haze! Heal up quick!
Sure looked like a beautiful ride for your "last" one. Hope it is not too long before we are seeing your famous bike ride photography again.
