The thermometer said 21 degrees this morning. Yee Haw! Slight changes in the running outfit.
CHANGE
Mittens - still the thick ones
Hat - wear the headband
Pants - wear one layer, not two
Long sleeve shirt - the same
Title Nine Vest - leave at home
Lulu hoodie - wear
turtle fur neck warmer - leave at home
T and I played around with the self timer on the camera in the middle of the run which is always cause for much hilarity! We NEVER see other runners that we can ask to take our picture. Having said that we are sure to see one the next time we are out!
When we got back it was 28 degrees. I can't tell you how many times one or the other of us said, "It is so nice out." There was no wind when we turned around. I didn't feel like I was running in molasses. Score: Win! I also felt good like I could have run farther which is what a taper is all about. I will continue to lessen my mileage this week. I don't want to wish time away but I can't wait for next Sunday.

Beautiful pictures!!! I'll say this for snow, it provides a gorgeous for photos...even if they are self-timed! =) I am the queen of the self-timer, otherwise no one would know I ever existed. I can't get my hubby to pick up a camera to save his, or my, life!
Glad it is warming up!!!
Nice work!!!
Great job!
Jealous! :) ...kidding, I'm really glad the weather is improving for you. Over here, we were teased into believing today would be nice, but that wind!!!! Love the self-timed pics!
Yay for the warmer weather! Love the pictures.
Beautiful pictures! 21 degrees is only one pair of pants? I wore a pair of compression shorts and knee high socks under my running tights today and it was 39 degrees out LOL.
Thanks for the comment:) I love running in the 20's. Especially with no wind! Who would have thought last October when I complained nonstop about having to run a half marathon in 32 degrees!! Good luck with your taper!
Wow, I can't wait to take off a layer or two when running:) It looks like it was beautiful out there! Great pictures!! Good job and I hope your training goes well this week:)
Same here - up to 33 degrees - I almost considered runing outside - stil no snow.
I love these pictures but it still looks cold to me. I think I'd have a hard time taking anything off during a run with you! Brrr..
Thats awesome that you guys did the self timer thing. Creative! Great job running
Thanks for posting on my blog. The animal cookies are my version of Gu. :) It's got sugar and carbs, so they got stuffed into my pack.
Great pictures!
And, awesome for warmer temps!
Looks like so much fun! That's important...to have lots of fun.
ajh! Check out my blog, I tagged you to receive a new award :)
Glad the weather finally cooperated for you! SO funny you thought 28 was warm - I would have died! It has been awesome here in NorCal, too! 65 all weekend :) I think though, it's just a tease and in a few weeks the rain will be back :(
Great run and loved the pic!!!
That's still darn cold - brrrrr. We're sitting around 50 here these days, but very damp.
Isn't it crazy how we think 28 degrees is soooo warm? Soon it'll be spring, right? I love those pictures - looks like you had a great time. That's what it's about sometimes :)!!
Love this, Andrea! Thanks for getting me back in the loop. Your self-timer pictures are great. The one on top is fabulous! And I love your commentary on the layering. :) Very important stuff! If your Anthony Famiglietti quote is right, I'll need *you* helping to get me back in running shape after the pregnancy!
Great pictures! Love 'em!
Girl, you left your turtle fur neck warmer at home?!?! You MUST have had a heat wave at 21 degrees!
I'm so glad that the taper is feeling good and you are doing well with it.
Love the pictures.. What a fun idea. Oh my gosh if that was the temp here I would be FREEZING! you are one tough lady.
No wind makes all of the difference in the world!
