Good News /Bad News
1. Monday I got to run 6 miles outside early before an appointment. / It was freezing again. I am going to start doing some major whining soon.
I love running outside early in the morning. If I could go into work after working out.....say around 9 every morning I would be a happy woman!
2. I got into the VCM 2 person relay and can't wait to run it!/It's not until the end of May.
But I have a different half marathon in less than two weeks. There will be a lot of fan support at the VCM though and there is nothing like a "home town" race.
3. A colleague told me I looked skinny this morning./ No bad news here.
4. I had a good workout on the treadmill today./It was on the treadmill.
Truthfully I do think it is good for me to get on the treadmill as I can't cheat on my pace.
5. I am reading a good book./It is written for middle school students.
One of my students recommended this book to me and he is so excited that I am reading it. I have to give him an update each day as to where I am. He thinks I am the speed reader of the century and is doing wonders for my ego.
6. I just got a box of books from Amazon./Who has time for books with all these blogs to read?
Really I always find time to read. But I am reading less these days. I am most excited for Chris Bohjalian's new book.
7. Vacation is in 8 work days./ Vacation is in 8 work days.
I need it to be in 3 not 8 but 8 is better than 13 or 18 or.........
What is your good news/bad news?

Great run today/not so great on the meals (not enough protein)!
Will make up for it tomorrow :)
!4 miles today between outside and the treadmill/it's snowing again.
Love your list. ;o)
Treadmill always bites. Great job on getting out in the cold! Yeah for a vacation! :D 8 days will be 3 before you know it
Yay on the relay! I would like to run a relay.
Ah! I'd settle for a vacation in 8 days!
Thanks for the comment on my blog!! Welcome to my world! :)
Bad news is I was down from the blogosphere all darn day with a computer virus.
Good news! I'm up and running once again! : )
I really want to do a relay race. I think that would be a lot of fun.
Another good middle school book is The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak.
Rain and more rain here. That's good and bad news for California! Thanks for the book ideas, I'm always looking for a good book.
I enjoyed this post. Think you've got some good things going. As for me...
Recovered fully after Sunday's tough run / I'm working late every day this week.
Great post!
I think I'm finally starting to feel better. / I'm not well enough to run yet.
We had fantastic weather yesterday despite the forecast/I had only one hour to spend outside.
BTW, loved/hated Hunger Games (interesting topic/too much gore). Now my ds talked me into reading The Nation. Another thinking book.
Got so much snow... but learning to appreciate it.
Back is sore from shoveling 3 feet and we are getting 1- -20 more today.
The snow keeps going/I get to work from home today in my sweatpants
Ahh...vacation! Don't you love when people give you a compliment out of the blue? It can totally make a bad day turn around!
Vacation - so jealous - that's the best thing about being a teacher.
However, I'm taking Friday off because I feel like it and no guilt, no lesson plans - that's the best thing about not being a teacher!
We've getting a little snow today - I'm staying on the treadmill.
I used to spend my before bedtime reading books. Now it's reading blogs. However, I did read The Lovely Bones, The Wedding by Nicolas Sparks.
A relay sounds like fun!
No vacation in sight until April 16th/April 16th I got to Boston!!
Great list - and go ahead and complain about the weather - I don't know how you people do it! Happy Wednesday!
I was just thinking yesterday that I so many books to read, I'm in the middle of three of them right now!
It's always nice to hear youi look skinny!
I always love the skinny comment too :-)
I could really use a vacation...somewhere with a beach and little umbrella drink:) I am with Staci...I love getting the skinny comments, they always makes me smile and walk a little taller:) Have a great day!!
It's so cool that you are reading a (not required) book and discussing it with your student!
Maybe you can catch up on your reading while on vacation- I am green with envy, BTW.
About your question on my blog concerning fig newtons: they work great for energy but you have to have water with them and they get crushed very easily and can be messy. So in my mind, they are the equivalent of gels but cost pennies each instead of dollars.
