First these flowers are everywhere. Gorgeous!
Beautiful boats everywhere.
A house on your own island. This one can be rented
for several thousand a week.
And of course there are all the mansions.
Apparently used in Pirates of the Caribbean for background
shots.
Beach time in the evening - cooler and not crowded
and parking is free.
Question - there was a guy running on the beach who would
run 10 steps or so and stop and jump up. Then he would repeat
it. After awhile he also threw in a side to side head twist.
Any idea why? He was a very fit looking, normal
looking person if there is such a thing.
Lots of red tide. Kept me from going in the water.

The blue hydrangeas remind me of our wedding flowers :) What a beautiful place!
nice photos, but i like the flowers the best!
Great pics! The man sounds a little odd. I have never heard of that workout!
No idea what that guy might have been doing - some kind of wacky plyometrics?? Looks like a gorgeous place!
I second the motion for whacky plyo.
Beautiful pics, boo for red tide.
Something about that house so precariously on that island scares me.
Oh so beautiful! Love the lush, colorful flowers, the boats, the mansions, and the WATER! Although I prefer to live near the mountains, it sure would be nice for us to have easier access (or any access, for that matter!) to the ocean once in a while. Looks like you had a very fun and refreshing time. Oh yeah, not only did I like your skirt from the previous post, but I forgot to mention that your legs are looking mighty fit and shapely! :-) Keep up the hard work!
New England is so beautiful. I love the flowers, the boats, and bridges, the houses - all gorgeous!
Holy nice houses and scenery.
and crazy plyometrics guy...
So beautiful. Your blog is a great advertisement for New England tourism.
I love the ocean. Too bad you didn't have these views during the race.
Enjoyed the photos. That guy could be training for another sport like soccer. In soccer it's common to have to jump to 'head' the ball.
Enjoy your vacation.
Love the blue flowers, wish we had them up here. And who knew Rhode Island could be so beautiful? Also love the mansions--imagine living like that! It's odd that with such great views the race followed such a crappy course, eh?
Cheers and happy running,
the RI coast is gorgeous, all 10 feet of it or so ;) the hydrangeas -- beautiful!! and i love sailboats... one day i will learn how to sail and have my own boat. (hopefully i am not easily ocean-sick!)
Yup, I think that guy was doing a strange form of plyo.
Gorgeous photos... I really love the flower ones. I think it would be weird to live in a house on a small island. I think I'd go nuts with all the solitude... maybe even start doing some weird plyo exercises. ;-)
Funny guy! I'm almost used to seeing people do funny things on the running path now that I've been running here in the city (Houston) for almost 2 years. I haven't seen that exercise yet, though. Liked the photo tour!
Hmm, not sure what that guy was doing! Nice pictures.
The hydrangeas are just gorgeous. When we were in Tasmania earlier this year we found them everywhere in lots of different colours.
And those houses!! I'd love to have a look inside.
Have always loved that area of the US. Great pictures!
I also live inland so boat trips around islands are something special in my book. Lovely photos!
No idea on the jumping head swinging dude!
Love the flowers! And boats!!
Wonderful, I would love to spend a week for free in one of those mansions.
The flowers are beautiful, I've got white ones in my garden.
No idea what that guy was doing, maybe make his run less boring or something like that?
LOVE hydrangeas (might have spelled that wrong) they grow really well here too but my hubby doesn't really like them so sadly we don't have any.
RI coast is really pretty. When I lived in Boston we made a point to visit all of the NE states and spend time in each of them, so glad we did.
