-1 degree (A Veritable Heat Wave)

Today T and I headed out for our second weekend run. We wore almost the same clothes as yesterday although I traded one styling face mask for a balaclava. I wasn't going to take any pictures today but just to help those who may want warmth advice for cold runs I took one. Believe me it is not fashion advice but when it is below zero fashion is the last thing on your mind. I wore the balaclava over my turtle fur and under my hat and it was VERY warm! Just the ticket. Both T and I thought the whole run was warmer and we only went 6 instead of 11 so the whole run was great! For those of you who are running in cold temps do you have any advice for skin protection?
I ran 31.1 this week and 129.4 for the month of January. :)

After I read your post, I headed to the gym to run on the treadmill. So impressed with your mileage totals.

Wow, I can't imagine running in that cold! It was 72 this morning in Miami. With about 90% humidity (whole separate running challege).

-1 is a heat wave? That definitely makes me chuckle. I don't have advice for skin care...I'm a total wuss and am on the treadmill if the temps drop below 20.

I just read your daughter's post about how you inspired her to start running. You are both very amazing women! You must be very proud of her (and yourself as well)!

hmmm, maybe slather some aquaphor on your cheeks? That might help shield your skin from the cold.

I'm reading The Historian, it's about Dracula and Eastern Europe. I love vampire books and movies, and this was way before Twilight ever came on the horizon!

OMGosh! I can't believe two days of negative temps! That is HARDCORE! I am a pansy, and I am proud to say it! When it's below 35, I am indoors most def! Awesome job on finishing up the 11 and the six!
