I start out running along the beach before heading up the hill.........
to my favorite lighthouse. Once there I look back to the beach
and in all directions
including at the lighthouse of course
before heading back down to encounter
a Maine Valentine tree???
I pause to fool with my self timer
before getting back to the beach and heading down the steps
which were in much better shape than last year (above and below)
when I slipped and fell and hurt myself rather severely
there was still ice this year which I always find very cool
no pun intended
a little more playing with the self timer, a lot more smiling
and I was back at the hotel ready to continue on with my day.
Maine........the way life should be!!

Beautiful! SOMEDAY I'll get waaaay over to Maine. Hopefully in the fall.
Sweet!
How amazing! I would love to run there! Beautiful pictures! What a great run!
Looks so lovely. I can almost smell the salt and hear the waves crashing. I love the photo of the valentine's tree - I'll bet the lobsters or crabs weren't feeling the love.
Awesome! Just love it!
Beautiful run. I would run there with a smile on my face too.
About the book Mystic River. I've seen the movie twice and I think it's a great movie. After seeing it I always wanted to read the book.
Tell me you are a photography teacher.
Your post is a great reminder that running is all about getting out there and enjoying the world around us. Love it!
Some days I think it would suck to live where you do with all that cold. We have cold here, but you have lots of cold, but then you go and post pics like this and I'm totally jealous. Absolutely beautiful. That kind of scenery would certainly motivate me to get outside and run!
Your pictures really make me miss New England. I love California, I just wish the other coast was a bit closer, say driving distance. :)
I love Maine too. Travis and I are GOING to go this year. It's been toooo long. Beautiful photos
I don't blame you for playing with the self timer, though it looks like the last one got photo bombed by another runner. haha.
It looks like a beautiful area!
Absolutely gorgeous!!
You always have the best pics! I can just picture running there. Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!
love love love it!
What a wonderful post, this is a hymn to running. As a former sailor I love the sea and the sun.
Great pics.
WOW, I've NEVER been to Maine, but it is now on my list!!! Maybe even sooner than later. Thanks for the pictorial...awesome!
Such gorgeous photos! I was there on a trip years ago and would love to go back. Thanks for stopping by my blog and supporting Christa! :)
Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! Can I go there right now?!?
GORGEOUS. Thanks for taking us along thru the photo! Glad the weather was better - no ice to slip on.
