Excellent Sunday Run and Shopping

Today was the best run I've had since I ran with my faithful running buddy and our two children. I felt like I had been slogging along lately when I run outside. (The treadmill keeps me honest indoors.) So I wanted to run a brisker pace today. Mission accomplished! We ran 6 miles which brought me to slightly over 30 for the week at a decent pace. My fourth and fifth miles were the fastest with a slow down in the 6th. We do end up on a hill just before my house but I am going to make it a goal to keep that last mile at the same pace as the previous mile!

I'm going to share a few running pieces I picked up at TJMaxx. I have to be in the right mood to go to TJMaxx but our "local" one tends to have good sports gear especially Nike.

A New Balance shirt for a super cheap price!

A Nike Dry Fit running jacket, very comfy! More teal than blue as it looks here.

And my best score - Cloudveil - Run Don't Walk Hoodie. Very comfortable with sleeves that extend with the hole plus they fold under very easily (notice one sleeve is extended the other isn't.) Both look good with prominent stitching.

It is a beautiful day outside and I'm going to get off the computer. I want to get a spinach lasagna made for supper so it is all set and then maybe I can get my hubby to go to the movies. I know I know that is not being outside but the drive there is right and I was outside this morning for my run!

I love weekends!

Great job on your 6 miler! Way to fight through that hill. Also, 30 miles in one week is impressive! Great work girl! :D

Nice running gear! I have made out very well at my local TJ Maxx as well--it's my second favorite place to Target's Champion stuff.

ajh,
Good morning from Orlando! I'm so excited to have time to write and check out lots of new blogging friends today, and I'm super-excited to have found my way to yours(!!!). Thank you for being part of the Turtles blog family. I love having new running/blogging friends, especially those in the 40+ category. We've got a number of them on the Turtles list, which is cool. Let's hear it for age, energy, and experience!

I love the teal Nike Dry Fit jacket. Great find! I really like the Dry Fit line and always look for bargains in our local TJ Maxx, Ross, etc...you found some great pieces..SCORE!

Did you guys make it to the movie??
