Snake to Daughter

  •  If I was Rachel Fisher you would be reading my obituary rather than this post.  I'm sure you have all seen somewhere the video of the couple driving down the road with what turns out to be a rat snake that comes out of the engine and is on their windshield.  This is no small snake!  They figure it got in there when the car was parked!  I would not have been able to drive and stay sane with that on my windshield. If you haven't seen it just google snake on windshield.

  • I have a guest post over on Jesse's blog at Journeythrulife.  Check it out! This is part of P's Great Bloggy Exchange. I will soon be having my own mystery poster on here. Be sure to look for it in the next few days! P has her own guest blogger today and it is a great story of a first half marathon.

Is it too early to start complaining about next year at work? Yeah, I guess it is.  Let's just say there are going to be a lot of changes and I heard of one new thing today that may be what sends me over the edge. The good part - I am working with  a great team of people.

Tomorrow I leave for DC to spend a good amount of time with my daughter.  The last two times I went down it was just for a long weekend. I am not at all sure how I am going to handle the heat. I hate heat.  But I am certainly excited to be headed out to spend time with Em.

Have fun with Emily. Now she's not having to spend such ridiculous amounts of time training, she'll have more time for her Mum. And you'll be able to spend ridiculous amounts of time shopping and eating.

One good way to handle heat is by not wearing a purple sweatsuit on your run :) best of luck with that heat in DC!!

OMG I would die if there was a snake on my car! I can't google it b/c that imagine alone is scary enough for me.

Have a great time in DC I bet Em will keep you cool with frozen yogurt, ice cream and tall cool drinks =).

That vidoe has made it to the British press, but I didn't realise it had crawled out of the engine! Terrifying!

I loved reading Emily's post about the Ironman, and yours too. She was amazing. Have a great time together.

I would have left the car as soon as possible and run my ash off to get away from it. I've only seen captured snakes but still they freak me out.

I hope you will be having a great time with Em, have fun!

If Emily is working this week and you want to meet up for a midday run or lunch, let me know.

If that happens to me while my son is in the car we'll get home with a new pet. Like me, he loves all living things and like to keep them all in his room. Have a great time in DC! Work next year...forget that for now.
