Weekend Running

At home - the run is done! Cold out but gorgeous!

Well, I had a cold and didn't really feel like running this weekend. I did do both runs but they were less than stellar efforts.  Yesterday it was around 25 degrees but windy.  We got 8 slow miles in.  Today it was about 1 degree and just plain cold.  T warmed up but I never did.  Next weekend I run (not race) my first half marathon in a long time.  The weather is promising, it is supposed to be warming up all along the East Coast!  Let's hope so!

Climb every mountain!

I did see both my chiropractor and PT on Friday. I had not seen the chiro since Sept. He thought my heel was in excellent shape and was even impressed that my calves are not too tight!  I guess all that early morning stretching is paying off!

These guys "greet" me when I get home!

And it is only FIVE MORE DAYS UNTIL I AM ON VACATION!

That's about how big our mountains get here in Kansas (the one you're on).

You running a 1/2 marathon is so great. Remember when we "met"? We were both injured and so not running. Now look at us!

Hey, I can climb mountains like that too.
Hope warms up for your non-race half. You have come out of that injury very well. Congrats!
Your kitties are adorable. I see they like cardboard boxes, just like our cats. They won't travel in the car unless it is in a cardboard box.

Great news on the PF front - yah!!! Hope you get over that cold quickly!

Sorry we couldn't share the cold weather with you this weekend - it was 58 and sunny today :-)

Just getting all caught up!
I don't know how you all do it, but I'm so impressed you got out in that weather! You are hardcore! I was freezing at 38 today, I know, I'm a California whimp.
Sorry about the race, but I'm sure Em is right, you will run it! And I love the shoes!!!
Have a good week as the countdown begins!

Wow. Looks really really COLD!8)

Re: calves. What I do is walk around during the day in flats. No heel lift sandals or barefoot. Stretch out things really well!

That's an impressive fall of snow that you're playing in. You sound like you're looking forward to spring like I'm looking forward to autumn.

That's a lot of running for one weekend. You did great! We are supposed to warm up here too. Good luck on your half!!! Enjoy it! Love your cats!!!!!

I think a huge problem with my heel the past couple days is my calf is super sore. I think I walked on my toes too long after my last shot on Friday and thus strained the calf too much. Sooooo glad your heel is happy, looks like you are having much better success and I couldn't be happier for you!

It was 65 here yesterday...I know you like the cold but I was in heaven!!! :)

Happy St. Valentine's Day!
