STT

1.  I got my Boston information! What.......you are thinking......I didn't know AJH was running the marathon.  Well, no, I am not,  I got the B.A.A. 5K Race info.  And I can tell you from looking at it with photo ID required to pick up my stuff, prize money, official race photographers.............I don't need to  worry about taking the time to hang around for age group awards. But it's my Boston and I'm going to have a great time running it!

2. I  will be watching the marathon! I will be there to cheer Emily on of course but if I recognize you I promise to cheer for you too.  Heck I will be cheering for everyone!  I hope to meet up with at least a few of you.

3.  It may be two weeks to Boston but it is one week to my half marathon!  This is a new race for me, supposedly flat, close by and T is running it with me.  My training has gone fairly well and I am feeling ready!  Bring it on.

The school day is over and we are raring to get going!

4.  Today was the first run of my running team or whatever you want to call it.  One person will probably not be doing it and one was home sick but three women showed up ready to run. We did 2 1/2 miles and everyone declared themselves ready to come back for more.  That was my main goal. They are finding other races too.  It was fun to run with co workers and to run in a place I rarely run. I really don't love running in the town I teach in. I'm not sure why.  Maybe I just like to separate my home and school life a bit.  When everyone was back at school I continued to get my own workout in. This is the part I am going to have to figure out.  Today I ran for about another 35 minutes and called it good.

Time for a walk break

5.  I am now in the fifth season of Lost. It is the first season that I had not seen any of.  It is a bit bizarre and not my favorite season but I am still hooked.  I will watch all 6 seasons to the end if only to find out how they decide to end the series.  I am reading Blood Money by Greg Iles. I like some of his books more than others. I am unsure how I feel about this one yet.

6. In the bad news department we are supposed to get one more huge snowstorm tonight and tomorrow. In no shape or form do I welcome this but if we at least don't have a snow day I can survive it.  It will definitely wreck my early summer plans if we lose yet another day of our vacation.  I am ready to run in capris (not being greedy and asking to run in shorts) and two layers instead of 3. I would like to leave my gloves and hat at home and not have the temperature be the first thing I check when I am getting ready for a run.  We have a decent amount of bare ground now  even in my town and I would like to keep it that way.

No......no more snow!!! Maybe they'll get it wrong. Cool that you are running the Boston 5K!! I'm jealous - did you have to qualify for that? We will be in Boston too - I will be watching from the sidelines.

I ran in shorts today even though it was cold, and it started snowing by the time I was done. I learned that the only way to be a New Englander is to embrace the winter. Everyone around me is miserable and wants winter to go away. Me, too, but I don't really think about it:)
Lost, yes, season 5 was bizarre, and season 6 the same. I loved the first 3 seasons the best. Still hooked though:) Good luck with the half. Is it the Great Bay? Fingers crossed for no snow day tomorrow!

I love your running group photos. It's so exciting that your coworkers enjoyed themselves and want to come back for more. :)

So maybe I shouldn't mention that it was 80 degrees here today?
Love the pic of your running team, what a fun group!!

Um...should I tell you it will be 78 here tomorrow??? Maybe not! :)

Oh, I so wish I were going to Boston to see you. I had a big meltdown with my PT today and said, "I'm never going to get to Boston again..." I'm starting to actually feel it. But you're going to have a blast, how cool to cheer on Emily!!! Bring lots of extra $ to shop all the fun things at the expo!! :)

I ran the B.A.A. 5K last year when I visited my brother in Boston. Even though I had a bad cold, I still enjoyed the race. I hope you like it, too. We also watched the Boston Marathon. The crowd support for those runners is phenomenal! There's definitely no race like it!

Keep trucking through season 5. Season 6 is better, but "Running and living" is right... the first three seasons are the best.

I agree on Lost - they "lost" me after the first three seasons...it just became too weird and there were too many loose ends in the plotlines.

I can certainly understand that you, (yes, even you!) are not looking forward to another snowstorm! Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen or at least not too bad...

The BAA 5k sounds like so much fun! It's going to be great fun cheering for Emily in the marathon, too.

Good luck with the half marathon taper!

Have a great time at the 5K, my 15 year old niece ran it two years ago (her Dad was running the marathon) and won her age group, pretty darn good for a very large field. Hope you get some warmth soon! You are always welcome to visit MS!

Have a ton of fun at the 5K- and watching the marathon! Patriots day is always a blast on Boston no matter what.
I'm jealous of your running group- I need to find some running buddies!

Is this the 5k that runs the last part of the marathon course? I think it is wonderful that you can be part of Boston, doesn't matter how, just to be part of it! Great for your running group, well done for getting that started! Have a super weekend, stay warm!

No! It's really time for spring, for the hyacinth, daffodils, and tulips, not new snow!

Nice job getting your new team together. I hope every one gets hooked :)

I hope that the forecast was wrong and you didn't have the snow-storm.
Have a great time in the 5km, in my opinion the toughest race.
Enjoy the half marathon taper.
I run in the city where I work and the races usually pass under the windows of my office and through the port.

I can't believe you're getting more snow.

Lovely positive post! Love it!

Great that the first team run went so well. And excited for you to go to Boston in two weeks.

I told my husband that if ever qualifies for Boston I'm TOTALLY running the 5k. When we lived in Boston the 5k didn't exist. So cool that you get to cross the same finish line as the marathoners =).

I think you still get Boston bragging rights. 5K or 1/2 ... you're running Boston! YAY! Have a great time ... and Go Emily!!
