Dear Mr. Weatherman

The plane will leave Vermont (pretend the ground is covered with
massive amounts of snow).............

Dear Mr. Weatherman,
I know that I have been complaining just a bit of late.  I apologize.  You must admit that I have put up with a great deal without complaining. I did a lot of running in the snow that I truly loved.  I run outside when it is very cold and just accept it as the price to pay for living in Vermont.  I run in the rain, sleet and even once in a great while in extreme heat.  I bike in all kinds of weather - (almost- one snowy bike ride was enough for me). I think I'm quite the trooper.  So let's call it pay back time.  Now it's my turn to be promised some good weather, not the forecast that I am hearing about.  Tomorrow there will not be snow, there will not be sleet and most especially there will not be wind.  Why?  What is so important about tomorrow?  Tomorrow the weather needs to be good enough (I didn't say great, just good enough) for my plane to leave Burlington, Vt and find it's way to Washington DC because I am going to visit my daughter and Mr. Weatherman, you do not want to interfere with that!
Put up with you all year,
AJH

....and get to DC.........

.........so this Mom/daughter team can be together.

That was very polite except for the threat at the end.... I sure hope Mr. Weatherman doesn't take offense to that! Seriously though, you're right! No weather had dare get in the way of a mom daughter weekend!!!! Have fun!

Have fun in DC - and don't count on the weatherman for anything, he does not listen to sweet talk or threats!!! :-)

Weathermen are officially on the top of my s*** list right now. I thought that you were very polite and restrained given what we all have put up with this winter.
Enough... Is enough!!!

Happy travels. I'll keep my fingers crossed that Mr. W is nice and lets the plane get off the ground and back on again totally bump free.
Have fun with your daughter and I hope you get out of this snow for a while!

How did I miss this post? Probably wallowing in self-pity suspect!

Whenever you go to visit Em, I think about the few times my mom came to visit me in Colorado (before she passed away) and how special those times were. My daugther still lives in Denver, goes to college here, and last year when she lived in the dorms, I really had a very had time - and she was only 20 minutes away (pathetic, I know!). Now she is living back at home due to finances but I know one day (soon, I hope) she will be out again and I so look foward to special times together, like you have with Em in DC. I hope the weatherman is listening - and the two of you have a total blast!! Runs tons of pain-free miles together, too!! No one deserves those miles other than you too for all you've had to endure.

Happy DCing, Andrea!! :)
Hugs!
