Four Frivolous Facts for Friday

1.  Reading - Chosen by Chandra Hoffman

For you Oregon bloggers it is another book set in Portland. I have barely started it so no recommendation yet.
Just finished reading the second in the Chelsea Cain series (Sweetheart) which is also set in Portland. I have read the first, second and fourth book in the series. (how the library had them available.)  Loved all of them but especially the fourth one.

2. Watching - Grey's Anatomy - Never fails to entertain. I think it is Season 5.

3. Loving - Summer (even though I worked this morning and will work all day Monday).  It is great to have more time to work out, sleep, read, blog, procrastinate, waste time.  I can actually fit in both biking and running although it is not as easy as I thought it would be. How in the world do you triathletes do it?
I did find out I can use the Burlington gyms any time this summer.  I need to get up there and use the pools and see if I can swim even a little bit.  I am also loving that summer isn't too hot yet.

4. Racing - I have my next race this Sunday. It is my first ten miler so a PR right?  It is supposed to be hilly but scenic. It was featured in Runner's World.  It is a bit of a drive for me and starts early (7:30) so I will be getting up very early Sunday morning. I tried to talk my husband or son  into going with me but not sure that is going to happen.  I always like a little road trip and there are outlets and Target to hit after if I want so all is good.

I love Portland. Oregon is my 2nd favorite state. Those books look a little chicky to me. I'm probably wring though. I think our taste in books align.

Hope you are doing great. Sounds like it.

Have a wonderful race on Sunday!

Ooops, I meant that I'm probably "wrong" about those books being chicky.

My fav states are: CA, OR, CO

VT? Do I have to answer that?!

I like VT Bloggers, how's that?

The first book in that Chelsea Cain series was AWESOME! I got too busy to read the second one, so it went back to the library but I'll be looking for it again in a few weeks.
Good luck on your 10-miler, I love a guaranteed PR!!

Every time I read your blog I wish I spent more time in VT when I had the chance - like the 25 years I lived in New England.

Love the use of alliteration in the post title...

I liked the Chelsea Cain book too (we read the same at the same time). Right now I discovered the books of Karen Rose, just finished the first and started the second. If you like Karin Slaughter, you'll like this too. For me it's a pageturner, I'm having trouble putting it away.

Good luck on your 10-miler on Sunday. I'm going to do my first in September.

You've asked how we take Bella with us when we are on the bike. She's in a basket behind me. I'll post a pic in my next post.

Well I'm enjoying winter here and had a freezing run this morning. Have a great run at the 10 miler. Here by us they start winter race 7:00, 7:30 or 8:00. Summer races start 5:00, 5:30 or 6:00. So all races are early.

Good luck for tomorrow and congrats in advance for your PR!
Summer for me is a nightmare: I work a lot. Too many ships in the port.
I like the new header.
