Best I could find. I don't know how to edit photos like so many of you do by crossing things out, writing etc.!!!
I would have added Run.

I.  I ran to work and back today for National walk/bike week.  (My husband told me tonight he thought I was only running to work. ????? I asked him if he thought I was pulling my car behind me for the return trip.) It rained a lot today but I avoided it both ways.  Going to work was downhill, coming home was up.  It took a lot of planning and organizing.  I took my clothes,  soap etc, lunch and breakfast to work on Tuesday.  It was there for me today.  Tomorrow I will bring my clothes etc. home.  How do people do this on a regular basis?  I had letters to mail and realized it wasn't happening today.  Little things but we (I) are so dependent on cars and the ease they provide.  I liked it  enough that I think I will do it again in June.  I did talk to my students about it but couldn't pressure them to do the same as 8 year olds cannot simply decide to bike to school on their own from the country. But they were impressed and hopefully have a file in their heads as this may be something to do in the future. A teacher that works in a different school biked 25 miles each way on Tuesday. Impressive.

2.  I ran at home on Monday - a slow run. I was worn out from the weekend runs I guess. I probably should have taken the day off but can't run Friday or Saturday and wanted to get my days in.  I had a speed workout on the treadmill yesterday and was very pleased with how I stuck to it. It is my last speed workout before my half. I need to start planning my goals for that.

3. I am going to NYC on Saturday to see a show on Broadway. We will have a little time for tooling around Times Square and area - on foot- my favorite way.  I love love love NYC and can't wait to go.

Simply.....The End

It's great that you ran to and from work today! That does take a lot of planning, though.

Have fun in New York!

Great job running to/from work! My boss used to bring all her stuff in over the weekend and take home everything from the prior week so that she could run to and from work each day.

Have fun in NY!

Why didn't you want to pull your car behind you so you could ride home from work? :) That was a cute statement. Good for you for running to/from work!

Pulling your car behind you would have been quite a workout. :)
I am trying to bike more to the store and farmers' market. It is fun now since it is still not too hot. In a few weeks that won't be easy.

Way to go running to and from work. I have run home, but gotten a ride in.

Our school had a program sort of modelled after the Walking School Bus idea (google it if you haven't heard of it). The majority of the students are too far to walk/ride the whole way to school, but they are encouraged to at least drive part way and walk or bike the rest. We had some special days set up and the goal was to have as many students commute without car as possible. The local fire dept and some police and other special guests met the students at designated spots out on the road. Then once the students got to school there was some of the same people there and it was a big event. It definitely increased the # of students who found other ways to school. The school got the kids really pumped up about it, so of course they would beg their parents to help them. The class with the most participation won a prize.

Well done on running to and from work. Great example to the kids.

I love NYC too! We went there for our honeymoon 2 years ago and it was the best trip of my life! We saw Avenue Q on Broadway, which was brilliant! Have fun!

Great job running to work and very good idea to talk to the kids about it, one more concept for them to carry with them. Have fun in NYC!

That is wonderful that you ran to and from work this week! Great job!

No, unfortunately, I don't get to see the llamas all the time. I do have wild turkeys on my normal running route, but they have been too fast for my camera.

Have a great time in NYC!

I think it is so cool that you are running to work this week and setting a positive example for your students!!! Do you think you will continue to do that occasionally after this week? I wish I lived close enough to work to run or bike to work one day a year!

Great job on running to work and back! Don't you just love running for transportation? Wish it was more convenient for more people. Have a great time in NYC and enjoy the show!

That is so impressive you ran to and from work! I know it takes a lot of planning! I should probably try to take the bus one day, I'm 20 miles+ from work so ridding/running is out of the question.
Have fun in the city!!!

Wow, I have never thought about running to work. I could do it...it is not really that far from where I live. It would probably take me 40 minutes or so. Nice work on work run:)

I would love to go to NYC and see a show! Have fun on your trip!
