Three Things Thursday- Be Warned - Some Complaining
1. I didn't have a very inspired week of running. Two days in the gym - one with a terrible tempo run. Today I got outside but felt sluggish. Looking forward to stronger runs this weekend. I pretty much always take Fridays off. So let's hope that rejuvenates me. Maybe I'll try to get to Burlington and run on the bike path.
2. It has been very stressful at work. There is way too much to do, with way too little time to do it. I may go in on Saturday to catch up some but home is busy too. Tomorrow is an in service day with no kiddos but it is all planned with no time on our own to do any catching up. There is lots to fit in the days to come for assessment and other unusual activities so it is hard to fit real teaching in. I feel like I'm juggling too many balls. I am also trying to finish up some assignments for a computer course I took. I am making a VoiceThread with my students. Has anyone used it? It is a great program and fun to use but time consuming. I would say the kids have been very motivated by it.
3. Our kitty is still safe and avoiding the fox. We have been doing many things to keep our cats alive and out of the predator's jaws for the last year. A lot of effort goes into it particularly from my husband. He has a route he walks on our land each morning to show his presence, scare them all away. He had not done it the morning the fox made his charge after our cat.

What is a voice thread???
Inservice day...anyday without the kids all over the place is a good day! :)
Hope you get your good runs in this weekend! Have a nice weekend!
Well, if it makes you feel better I have been such a slacker since my last half marathon! I went out on one four mile run:) We have been super busy with Kay's track meets and jazz band concerts...there is just no time left for me in the evening! Grr!! I will get better this next week:) At least you got out there and got your tempo runs in! Good job and high five! Take care:)
Your week sounds exhausting!
When in June are you heading to DC? I live near a metro stop and depending on when you are here, I could meet you downtown or at my stop. Email me at mom2shoo at gmail.com if you want to chat about a meet up.
It has been a blah running week for me too.
I hope you will feel better about running soon! :)
So sorry your work has been stressful! I usually get Fridays off, but not tomorrow- off to work to catch up myself! Hope this weekend brings you some good runs. Sending you some positive vibes!
not sure what voice thread is, but if it's motivating for the kids, sounds good to me!
Boy, it sounds like you are having a rough week. The foxes here in Flanders have been making a huge comeback - nobody's chickens are safe anymore. We also had a badger in the neighborhood that was creeping around at night. Good luck keeping your cats safe - that must be stressful worrying about them. And hang in there at work - the last weeks of the school year are always so hectic.
hang in there! you'll get a break soon enough. hope the running gets better!
The good runs will return - they always do!
Hang in there! Hope your week gets less stressful soon!
Glad the kitty is still safe!
You'll be full of energy and good running soon. Take it easy and remember to rest well. Work can be a real bummer sometimes.
Blame it on May. I find it to be them most stressful time of the year--everything is happening at once right now. Next week will be better!
Aw, I hope things settle down with work (and life!) and that you can have a great run this weekend!
Hope your weekend is more relaxing. Are you getting enough sunlight?
You're due for a good run, take today as a rest and I'm sure you will be rewarded this weekend :)
Must be something in the air, I'm feeling quite overwhelmed myself these days! I've also been feeling tired the last few days. Like you, I hope that taking a real rest day tomorrow will allow me to have a good run Sunday. It's my 20K!
Here's hoping you have good runs this weekend and that you manage to catch up on some of your work.
Girl, I have been JUGGLING a zillion things at school too. This is just the craziest time of year for me. I'm trying to fit some running in but it's not too easy right now.
I hope your kitty stays safe. That reminds me of when I was little and we had at least 10 cats the first year we moved into our house in the county...there were a lot of coyotes!
I totally get your frustrations this week .... school, life, they just get in the way sometimes and it's okay, we all bounce back (some longer than others...if I wanted to name myself there. ha). Hoping for rejunivated legs soon .... and HAPPY WEEKEND!
Not every week can be fantastic. I hope the fox stay away!
