A Pity Party.... Want to Join?

I hate not running.

My foot doesn't like me being on my feet all day at work.

I'm back to icing.

It's a week. The doctor said I could run in a week to 10 days.  It certainly isn't happening in a week nor will it be in 10 days.

Thank God for swimming.

I hate not running.

If I knew the date I could run it would make it easier.

Anyone have the "Future Running Date Crystal Ball?"

Anyone else want to come to my pity party?

This is a clear sign from God that you need to give up work so you can just rest and recover and concentrate on your training. If only we didn't need to earn money to eat.

Try to embrace the break...I know I know...cliche. But THINK how AWESOME it will be when you can hit the roads again.

I totally sympathize with you. At least you can concentrate on the other two sports. I think it would make good sense to take all the time you need to heal. Its better than re-injurying and having to go on another hiatus.

I feel for you because we all know how much you love running.

Feel so sad for you. I have been there several times. Unfortunately, our bodies heal on their own schedule. You'll be running before you know it. Just think how great your swimming will be for all your tris.

Sometimes I have my own pity party too, when I can't run, or when we finish season 4 of FNL and I know there is only 1 left :)

I wish I didn't understand this but I do. When my foot was broke, it killed me. I hope you are back to new soon...but not *too* soon as you want to make sure the time is right :)

I can only think of one advantage - plenty of time to read. Hope you're better soon.

Partay time!!! I agree with Char, though. I think it is a sign that you need a leave of absence from work so you can sit around at home for a week or two with your foot propped up, iced, and a good book in hand so that you can heal properly, right quick and in a hurry! Being on your feet all day is delaying your return to full health. You might even need to take a few mental health days off from work because it has caused such emotional trauma and stress, as well.

I'm in on the pity party. Lower back pain has me side lined. It's bad enough I mad an appointment with my doc which I only usually do if I think I might be dying :-(

man I am so sorry, I know how this feels...I'm sure most of us do. The good news is when you can run just think about how much you'll truly appreciate it again :)

I'm with you!! Hope it's closer to 10 days (or less). It just sucks being sidelined!
