Three Things Thursday

1.  Yesterday I didn't run because there was thunderstorm after thunderstorm.  When the thunder stopped it was seriously cold.  You know not much keeps me inside but I couldn't get out there.  I had finally started a cleaning project and was seriously into it. Really. It is not the cleaning I like it is the organizing.  Love it! Today I went through clothes when I switched around summer/winter clothes. It may not be summer or even spring yet but I am done with the winter clothes for now.  I always like doing this as it is like having lots of new things or just finding old faves.  (One of the many reasons I love Vermont and the four seasons.)  I have 3 bags for the yellow boxes (donations) and 3 bags to take to my cousin.  If I could I would just keep on organizing but I think tomorrow is going to be a movie day.

2. So today I ran the 12 miles I didn't run yesterday.  It wasn't raining BUT it snowed - completely serious- the whole time. I tried to take a picture of the flurries but you can't really see them which is odd because it was snowing a fair amount. It wasn't sticking to the road and only a little to the grass.  I had to wear a headband, turtle fur on my neck and gloves. Yesterday when I was organizing in my own little heaven I put away my winter running clothes. I left out just a few - good thing.  I was slower than I would have thought possible and fairly tired but I did it. I ended up going up a hill I have never gone up before. If I do the local race in a few weeks it is where the 5K goes so I wanted to check it out.
SNOW on the ground!

This is the way I usually go.

I took the left side of the fork and went
UP the hill.

3. Anyone looking for some new digs?  This wonderful mode of transportation takes you to a house across the river. When the river is low they drive across.  When it is really high, I would think they stay put if they are over there.  If you like privacy it could be the place for you. And it is near me so we could run together!

I guess you just sit and hang on.

Across the river you go.......

....to the other side.

So you saw above where I ran today including snow.  Here is where I was on my April vacation last year.

It was just a bit warmer and there is no snow in sight.

I always put off cleaning, but after I finish it I feel so accomplished.

We got snow here a couple days ago. I'm glad it's melted already!

That's a really neat way to get across the river!

Seriously do you live in Alaska or what. How can you still have snow. It's been cold since we got back to KC but no snow thank goodness.

I can't pretend I enjoy tidying and organising, but I love the feeling when it's done!

Of course it snowed. You pulled out your Summer clothes - you were almost taunting nature.

My problem with organizing is that all becomes disorganized very quickly.
I can't believe your weather. At least it's not boring. We don't get many thunderstorms here. :( I love thunderstorms.

Still snow? Holy crap, you totally deserve some Spring weather by now!

Steve's folks got like 5 inches the other day in NY - they are as aggravated as you are - time for SPRING. Hope you have some sun this weekend!

Elizabeth and I ran yesterday in Middlebury and it was snowing. I have washed and put away my all of my winter attire, except one hat, which I wore. I am sooooo sick of cold weeather. I even wore a summer dress yesterday to work (with leggings and a sweater). I may do the lincoln race 5k.....

This crazy snow is driving me crazy! Our weather is out of wack these days from rain, to snow, to hail to sunshine in one day.

That house must be really private wow! I would love to try that out...but, I have a feeling people must have gotten home wet sometimes :)

Both the places are beautiful to run through: woods and beaches.
Have a nice running Easter.

Oh, that would be a cool way to get home. HOw could you not smile? Well, I guess if you were trying to balance grocery bags at the same time.

I love how my house looks and how I feel AFTER I clean/organize...it's just the actualy inspiration to DO it that I lack. Seems like the only time I really get in the mood to clean is when we have something else to do.

Maybe this is your last snow? Let's hope!

Oh man snow in mid-april that's brutal.

We are finally getting some sun here however, I went out this morning without a coat on and I think that was pushing it. Sure it's sunny but it was only like 38 degrees :).

Damn damn snow!!! I'm just catching up and checking out your awesome Boston purchases! Yes, I'm a JUNKIE for jackets and half-zips and I have no idea how you resisted that jacket the first time around-LOVE it! I will be buried in a half-zip......

Won't the snow ever stop? Geesh! You guys have had enough this year.
That's a very interesting way to get across a stream! I'm not sure I'd want to drive my car across that all the time.
