A Day in my Life

I'm home finishing a good book  reading blogs sick with the cold that everyone has had and so nicely passed on to me.  I got up early and went into school and spent a good hour making plans for the sub.  Any teachers out there have suggestions for making this easier? It is the worst part of being sick.  I also brought home a ton of work to do to be ready for tomorrow.

A lot of you have done this post and I'm stealing the idea on a non running day for a post topic.

Outside my window  it is pouring buckets and there are flood warnings.

I am hearing my "favorite" cat purring beside me. (They are all favorites at one time or another.)

I am thinking  that I don't want this cold to last long as I hate being sick.

I am thankful  that everyone in my family is healthy, employed and cares about being fit!

I am reading  Left Neglected by Lisa Genoa. It is excellent. I have now finished it. I highly recommend it.

I am hoping and praying  everything goes well in Boston this weekend for everyone.

I am wearing  Lululemon pants and a pink Champion top from Target, comfy clothes.

I am creating  lesson plans for tomorrow.

From the kitchen  today I will probably make the chicken salsa I felt too sick to make last night.

Around the house  it is Lazyville.  Three cats are snoozing, I am blogging and it is peacefully quiet.

Plans for the week include some easy runs, teaching those young ones, counting the days until vacation.

Picture(s) to share All these are from my kids' college graduations.  Emily as a "Feb" got to be in two ceremonies - February and May.  The graduates skied down in caps and gowns.  Jameson's was on a gorgeous but cool  day in May.

Get well soon! It seems like a lot of people are sick this time of year. Several people in my office are sick with bronchitis or allergies to the "snow mold." Did Jameson and Emily attend the same university? Also, is that Bill Clinton that I see in one of your pictures?!

I'm sure your cold will be gone soon. Sounds like the rest of your life is going well.

Sounds like you are on the mend. Take it easy this week. Can't help you with the lesson plans, in college no subs for me, not that I have ever heard any college students complain when I am out for the day!

You take good care of yourself. I want to read about spring in VT, your training and your races. Sending good vibes your way.
Funny at first I read you had to teach your students how to count days till vacations and I thought that things were getting really bad if kids did not know how to do THAT.

Great pictures!

Feel better soon...lesson plans are SUCH a drag when you're writing them for someone else! I'm lucky because my aides step in and teach for me when I'm gone (one is a certified teacher) and the sub is for the aide. They can pick up from my plans and go without special instructions.

I know you're sick but sitting around with a good book, and a contented cat or three while the rain is pouring down outside sounds kinda nice. Get well soon.

I hope you're feeling better today. I love listening to the rain, it's kind of comforting. But I hope you get sunny days soon. I really enjoy your pics.

Congratulations on all the graduations! Oh it sucks to get a cold or the flu. Here by me there are many sick people at work and I’m hoping to stay as healthy as possible all the way to Comrades on 29 May. It is just so difficult (impossible) to escape colds and flu totally. Hope you are feeling better already! I’m in for doing a “day in the life of” post.
