What I am Reading Wednesday

1. I finished Orphan Train - an easy and enjoyable read.

2. I have also read The Running Dream - a young adult book that I would highly recommend. A track star loses her leg in a car accident and has to deal with all that comes with that.  Excellent, excellent, excellent especially for all of you runners out there.

3. Since I will be traveling soon I got my Kindle back out and am downloading a book or two.  I have started a "book" but I really and truly so prefer a real book.  I like to hold a real book, look at the cover, see how far I am (don't worry I know about the per cent thing on the Kindle).  The book I started is My Husband's Secret. Well, actually I started several books as I downloaded many samples. I do like that feature. This is the one I finally settled on as the first chapter  kept me interested.

Any recommendations for books I should download to read in airports and on airplanes?

I wish I had a recommendation for you. I actually haven't read anything in the past month :-(

I just read something a few weeks ago and I couldn't tell you the name or what it was about...so I guess it wasn't that good. I'll be reading alot more with the colder weather coming in.

Is the running book non-fiction or fiction? I'm assuming non?

I don't read that much but agree with you on a real book. If I read it is always a real book. No Kindle for me.

I before real books too. I have a few on my iPad but don't read them. Will have to check out the running one.

I like a real paper, tactile book too. But having said that I was given the offer to download books to review by a publisher so I dutifully downloaded the app for my phone and downloaded some books.

I am a bad reviewer. I can't get the books finished in their time-frame (probably because I've got a life that doesn't allow for unlimited time to read). Once their time frame has elapsed you can no longer read the book on your device so I've been left hanging a couple of times. It happened again just the other day and it was a book that I was enjoying so much that I had to pay for it so I can finish it. That'd make a good review - but they don't want my review now.

Noah's Rainy Day by Sandra Brannan

Apparently it's part of a series and I haven't read any of the other books but I don't think you have to to enjoy this one.

Same here! I have a Kindle and want to love it like the rest of the world seems to - but I just really prefer holding an actual book and turning actual pages. I like to see how many pages are left in a chapter to sort of find a good stopping point. Maybe I am old fashioned :)

I always appreciate posts like these - I'm always open to new recommendations. Unfortunately I never seem to have any to give (probably because I can't remember who's blog I got the idea from).
