Three Things Tuesday - Why Not?

1. Awhile ago I stared reading my posts from the year before as each new month rolled around.  I enjoy seeing what I was doing a year ago, particularly the races. There seem to be fewer people reading/commenting these days and as I read the old comments there are certainly people I miss. This month I saw a couple of posts I liked last year one of which I will repeat the format of again soon.

Last October I was in remote New York watching
this girl win her first 50 miler!

2.When I was in Providence I did a little shopping at the outlet stores.  I won't repeat that if I go again next year as it was so crowded I couldn't believe it.  I don't mind crowds but this was beyond my limit even.  Since we went to so much trouble to get there I had to buy something right?  I picked up a vest at Eddie Bauer that I had also looked at in Maine when I went to the Pumpkinman Tri. I figure if you go back and look at something you really want it.

3. Sunday was the amazing Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Christa's team, Tutus for Tatas was huge.  We walked the four miles despite beginning it in rain.  Christa was the largest fund raiser (over $5000!) and our team was the second biggest fund raiser as a team.  I didn't get the pictures I might have without rain but here are some of them.

What a cool idea to look back a year! Need to do that. So many people no longer in the blog world that I miss. My views and comments are down as well. C'est la vie I guess.
Outlet crowds = much no bueno. Very cute vest though.

I've noticed the same thing re people who used to comment all the time. Life changes and people move on. Luckily there are the stalwarts like you and Marcia.

What outlets did you go to? I'm going to "borrow" some of your pictures for my blog about the walk, after I finish my blog about RI. Hope you are well. Have you started Breaking Bad yet?

I noticed this also that people comment less but also blog less. I don't really mind when people blog less because it's so much easier to keep up with their blogs. I try to comment on all my favorite blogs.

the walk sounds fun.

I think comments are down because more people are reading blogs off their smartphone or iPads. I tend to comment more when i am on my computer because it is easier to type than usemy fingers.

The trend is certainly the same with me. I still get lots of views but less comments. I think Darlene has a point. I also miss some people.

Darn. I was really hoping for a fourth thing just so there would be more pictures!

I've noticed the same thing. I guess it all ebbs and flows.

I HATE crowded shopping. Hate it. You'll never catch me at Black Friday sales...I'd just end up all hostile and angry. Glad you got your vest, though. I did that with a hat I bought on my girlfriends weekend. I loved it, but it was way too much to spend...but I kept thinking about it all day and finally went back to get it. I didn't spend much other money, just buying a couple dresses for work, so I decided it was ok. :)

I noticed the same thing about less blog comments. I figured its just because I'm boring :-)

Cute vest but I hate crowds too, it really ruins the enjoyment of shopping. Good job on the fundraising - looks like you girls had a great time!

Even in the rain that walk looks beautiful! Awesome that your group was able to raise so much money for such a great cause.

My comments are down too although I chalked it up to being MIA a lot... Can't find the same time/motivation to write like I used to! Definitely miss a lot of "old blog buddies' who have dropped off the map but we have been in this for awhile now (4-5+ years). Cute vest and congrats to your team on the awesome fundraising efforts!
