This weekend I did things I enjoyed!

First....

I went for a run. It was only 4 miles and it was slow but it felt great! T came down to run with me even though it wasn't a long one. We didn't even begin to catch up on things. We stopped by the library book sale to pick out books for her mother as her mother likes the books I send better than the ones T does. Funny!   I was tempted to run again today but decided every other day for a few days.

Second....

I changed my clothes around.  Yes, it was work but it is done and it always feels a bit like shopping.  You get out those clothes you had forgotten about that you love so much.  I love cold weather clothes!  Hoodies, 3/4 zips - can't have too many of those, jackets, fleece, jeans!

Third....

We lost electricity!  Why is this good?  Well, I was already going for a bike ride but since the electricity went off my husband came too.  This is very rare!  He couldn't watch football or work on anything so he came.  When we were driving to our starting point he asked me if I brought my cell phone. I  told him I did.  He then wondered if AAA worked for bikes.  Once we parked he wondered why I parked in the lower parking lot when it meant going up a hill immediately.  But he did great in spite of a very old bike with very few gears and rarely getting on the thing. We did almost 24 miles.  The foliage is past peak but it was still nice.  The route we took is one of my favorite ones that I took with my friends earlier in the summer.  It was nice to share it with him and he really liked it.  When we were done we went and got sandwiches to bring home so I didn't even have to get supper. SCORE!
Two bikes on the rack!

This time the road was really closed.

I am loving this ride.

I haven't done one of these photos in awhile.

Here comes my husband.

Sheep on Sheep Farm Road - love this road!

I have bungie cords and straps but my husband gets out the baling twine.

Fourth....

Last night we went to a friend's for dinner and there were many people there I haven't seen in quite awhile. The food and company were great! Loved it.

What was the best part of your weekend?

That all sounds (and looks) wonderful, and how cool that your husband went--and went 24 miles! Not having to make supper is pretty sweet, too.

Hmmm...it's been a good weekend. Spent Sat. at Six Flags with my family, which was really nice. Plus, being with them all day made for a guilt-free day of running and then biking today!

Love the foliage still. The pictures are beautiful. I love it that you and your husband went for a ride together.

My best part of the weekend?
Picking pecans with my boyfriend and watching my Lab chasing after other weiner dogs. Ha! What fun!

Perfect weekend!! I need to change my clothes around, too....suppose to snow on Wed (gasp) and I have nothing ready to wear.

Funny about your husband and lost electricity making him go with out on the ride. Maybe you should pull the circuit breaker now and then? :)

Gorgeous pics, as always. Love the cemetary!

What a lovely weekend you had. Even losing power was a positive. Hope the rest of your week is just as good.

I was home with sick kids all weekend, so I had to live vicariously through you! My husband and I bought bikes together 14 years ago and we've only ridden together once!

You should always do things you enjoy but I think you already know that and do that.

I'd say: cut off the power yourself from time to time if that gets your husband to bike with you :)

Best part of my weekend? That my living room looks like new after painting it. And beautiful fall weather on Saturday and Sunday.

Yay for an awesome weekend!!!
Ours wasn't so great - a funeral on Saturday for an uncle of my husband. But at least we got to get a good hike in on Sunday.

That's great that your husband biked with you! I'm still loving all the fall photos.
Best part of my weekend was carving pumpkins with friends and attending the wedding of two of my friends. You would have loved their venue as it was right on the water.

Oh thank gosh - when you said you changed your clothes around I thought you meant you put them on backwards or put your shorts on your head or something.

Fun weekend! How cool your hubby rode with you. Mine hasn't since maybe before we were married, and then in was on trails.
Me? Fun: Halloween party and a hike with the kids.
Definitely not fun: Thing 2's perpetually ripping costume.
