To Race or Not To Race......

I'm planning to drive a long ways this weekend for a very low key race. Should I do it?

The positives:
1.  My son, Jameson, is going with me.

2. It is a long ways so we will spend a lot of time together.

3. Jameson is getting into racing and it is so awesome that he is willing to do this with me.

4. Maybe I will see some of the upper New York state bloggers??? Darlene?? Suzy??? Anyone?

5. There is an L.L. Bean in Albany.

6. There is a Target in Albany. (Vermont is the only state without one.  Sometimes you just need a department store.)

7. I have not raced since August.

8.  This race will be my January race.

9.  My son, Jameson, is going with me.

The negatives:
1. It is a long ways.

Go! Spend time with Jameson. If there was a January race here...I'd be there for sure!

Sounds like your mind is made up!!! Go for it - it sounds like it would be a great weekend even if it is a long car ride!!!

I would absolutely do it! I love running with my daughter ... it's just a car ride. Best wishes!

Hmmmm. How can I put this?

RACE!!!!

:)

And then go shop at the Bean. I do so love that store, even though it tends to drain the wallet quickly.

I've never run in any of the Winter Race Series before, but lots of people do and they say they are good races. I'll be camping this weekend, otherwise I'd come cheer for you.

Of course you must go race...you are going to have so much fun :)

Clearly you MUST do it! There's always a thousand good reasons to run, but for this one, hanging with your son sounds like a great reason! Family bonding time is always fun!

Hell yes!!! Just run it slow and have fun ... and when the end of the year comes around, you can say, "Started out the year with blah blah blah race and it only got better from there!" :)

And btw, I lived in Huntsville, Alabama...there were no Target stores when I lived there ... I used to drive 1.5 hours to Nashville just to get a fix now and then. :)

Go!

Do it!
Seriously no Target? How do you live?

I had a dream about you and Emily last night. We were pacing somebody (??) for Leadville. Go figure.

I also vote GO. Long drive = time together.
And then there is Target. :)

Hmm, 9 pros to 1 con. I think you have already decided!

Sounds great, time with your son, time running, time shopping, but if the weather is bad, stay safe, there will be other opportunities

Crazy not to! And how do you live without Target? : )

It is going to be wicked cold here this weekend! I was planning on hitting up the treadmill because of the cold, but would definitely love to meet you if you come this way. Which distance are you planning on doing?

I don't see any negatives!;) Enjoy your time with your son!

Quick answer to your question - a wombat is about the size of a staffordshire bull terrier.

Sounds like you will have a great time. Enjoy! Wow, the wombat is bigger than I thought! I sometimes change my training days according to life.

It's not so bad, unless you're doing it in one day? We used to drive to VT from LI all the time. If once a year is all the time. You will have fun, I say do it!

One negative - It's supposed to be below zero - Oh but you like the cold. I was planning to do it but like Suzy I figured I should do the treadmill.(But I'd love to see you again.)

LLBean is in the same mall as the Christmas Tree shop & across the street from Target.
