Here goes with my 7 things.

1. I love winter. I keep reading about people who hate the snow and the cold. That is not me at all.  I love it and hate that states south of Vermont are getting so much more snow.  Today I read in the paper about the anti cruise that goes to Norway, the Arctic Circle......you get the picture. That is a cruise that appeals to me, not so much the tropical ones.

2. I hate snakes.  Hate them! Despise them!  Feel they have no use on Earth.  (Yeah I know they do but I don't care.)  So living in Vermont where we don't have snakes a good deal of the year is only a good thing.  Those big giant poisonous ones - don't have those either!  Bring on the cold!

3. I love to read. I don't get it when people say they don't have time to read. I have always had time to read.  I reread my favorite books. Amazon is one of my favorite sites and I don't mind buying books second hand at all.  At this point I have no desire for a Kindle but that could change!

4. Am I only on 4? What else can I tell?  I love racing and would not want to run if I couldn't race. I don't get nervous before races and if I could stay injury free I would race a ton more. When I retire there will be some destination races in my future! Starting in Ireland.  Why am I not bloggy friends with anyone from Ireland?

5. I'm a teacher and have been for many many years. I have taught in 3 schools.  The first one was far  North in Canada and I loved it there. (see #1)  The next two have been in Vermont. I actually now teach in the school I attended and that my mother taught at. I love it.  My mother died many years ago and it is a nice connection with her life.  Someone at work just emailed me a class picture she was in the other day when they were looking through old pics.  It made my day.

6. I eat most of my calories for the day in the evening.  (This is fascinating stuff isn't it?)  It keeps me from eating too much if I know there is MORE coming!

7. I love the ocean. I feel fortunate that I live close enough that I can get there a few times  a year. But having said that I love my mountains more.  I feel like I live in the perfect place so perhaps I should have just said: I love Vermont!

We are polar opposites on the seasons! But I'm with you on the snakes, reading, and racing. Thanks for giving us a closeup look at AJH!

I love the snow and winter too. It can get down into the 40's around here.

I love winter too. But then again in MS is never gets that cold, but we do get some temps in the teens now and again. Today it was 71 outside at mid-day, too hot for me to run, I ran this morning when it was 34.

I also love winter!!! Bring on the snow!!! So sad that IL doesn't get more :( And a Kindle is great for traveling. I have one and only use it when I travel. I choose a book that I'm going to read on my vacation and purchase it the day I leave for my Kindle. Even if I buy 5 books, they don't take up a ton of space in my carry-on. I'm more of a library person because I rarely read a book more than once, so I only use my Kindle for "special occasions."

Thanks for sharing!

Love your 7 things. I like cold, but I'm not a fan of snow. Maybe if we got it more often and actually knew how to handle it...

No comment on the winter bit :-)) That is so cool about teaching where your mom did and where you went to school - what a way to give back!!! Have a great week!

Loved your 7 facts! I despise winter yet I still live in MN....probably because I share your hatred of snakes. ha!

I always make the excuse that I do not have time to read. Truth is, I have the attention span of a gnat.

I love reading, and learning, a little more about you each time you do these :). Though I long to make it to Vermont one day, I can promise I hope it's never in winter...you and me are complete opposites in this area. It was 65 here today and I sat outside with a short-sleeved shirt and had lunch. Don't worry, we're to get cold and snow on Monday....blah!!!!

You should definitely visit New Zealand. No snakes there!

You mean you would not like to hold a nice, cuddly boa constrictor? Really?
I did not invest in kindle but I installed it on my iphone. While the screen is not too big (really?) at least I always have a book to read with me when I am waiting.
Love the snowy road picture.

I love reading too and I don't get it either when people say they don't have time. I read at least 15 minutes a day. I buy my books online or second hand, depends on how much I want it. If I know I'm going to keep it, I buy it new.

I'd like winter if it wasn't so cold and didn't snow.
:)
I am a huge reader and often re-read books as well.

That's impressive...I should be more grateful for snow. I guess I do like snow, just not when it turns gray and the sky is the same color, for months. Ha. You can tell I need to read more of your positivity for winter

I love winter too! Never thought that would be my favorite season, but since becoming a runner, I love winter! Of course, here in Arkansas, our winters are really mild (30s or so).

Thanks for sharing!
