Wallis Sands Half Marathon

I am becoming super excited for this weekend's half marathon.  There's a part of me that wants to wait until  I am crossing the start line to believe I can be excited but I'm throwing caution to the wind and getting excited now.

I am not as physically ready as I was for the two cancelled ones in March.  Vacation was too much about biking and derailed my training plan a bit.  Also I just made the decision instead of tapering and doing nothing on Saturday I am bringing my bike to Maine and riding. It looks like it will be sunny and a friend is coming and bringing her bike. I can't resist. I won't do a 50 miler but I hope to get 20+ in.  Yep, the bike reigns again.

I may do the run/walk thing. I am not sure.  But I do hope to not have a PW and I cannot wait because the course is AWESOME.  Look at all the ocean time I get!

So goals are to have fun, to soak in the scenery (it may be raining, I hope that goal isn't too literal) and to have as close to a 10 minute pace as I can.  I just want to do a half!

Two friends might go with me so good food, good friends, good biking, good running and good times!

That course looks amazing! I love how it starts and ends along the ocean.

The bike reigns here too. As it should be. :)

Seems you are going to run that Half Marathon with the right spirit, although you are not adequately trained fot it. As you mentioned, it isn't important that you haven't been running races as much as you should.
Enjoy!
